Baton Rouge, LA) -- A U.S. senator from Louisiana says a "preliminary investigation" of the Superdome in New Orleans shows the venue can be "rehabilitated" -- but at a cost of 400-million-dollars. The domed stadium housed over 20-thousand residents while Hurricane Katrina pummeled New Orleans. Republican Senator David Vitter told the "New Orleans Times-Picayune (pickee-YOON)" he was informed by the regional vice-president of the corporation that runs the stadium that an assessment of the Superdome should be conducted within 60 days to determine the exact amount of damage. He also asked Vitter for federal assistance to repair the 30-year-old arena, which is the home to the New Orleans Saints.
Four hundred million to repair the superdome? I don't think so. I really hope with all the money that needs to be spent in the New Orleans area and south Louisiana in general that we don't spend a dime to repair the Superdome. How much would you like to bet that Tom Benson has the nerve to ask the state to build another venue for his precious Saints. Yeah yeah yeah I know what everybody is gonna say. They bring in revenue for the state. BULLSHIT! They were already blacking out the games around here because of poor ticket sales. If they aren't selling tickets then obviously there aren't many people coming to town to watch them. Yeah I know we had a lot of Super Bowls and whatnot there but that's only one game a year. I really don't think that can justify the obscene amounts of money that has been spent on them. I hope they raze the Superdome to the ground and build something else. Maybe they should build another dome or even repair this one but let's wait until the Saints have to go somewhere else first.

well buckwheat says okay and can we ask bobby boucher and gator mcklusky to see if we can may be cut the roof open and open and close it like houston astro dome if it is good for the houston astros who are penent contenders and almost world series lost to st louis cardnails after all it is a louisiana legend the superdome
